Dietary and Life Style Advice

Dietary Advice:

Eat everything warm, cooked or room temperature. No cold drink, no ice. No frozen yogurth, smoothies, juices, carbonated drinks, etc…
Drink room temperate water, at least 2 L / day for the average person. More during hot summer days or if physically very active. In addition drink equal amount of water for each cup of coffee or tea (unless chamomille) .

Eat local and seasonal.

Eat your most protein rich meal in the PM with neutral vegetables. Carbohydrates and/or vegetables at breakfast and lunch. Avoid heavy meals. Eat an early dinner; last meal at 7pm. Try to not include too many food groups in one meal. For example do protein and vegetables or carbohydrates and vegetables. Not proteins and carbohydrates.

Within the Chinese Medicine paradigms, for the average person, it is suggested that we eat red meat twice a week; it would be a piece of beef or pork the size of your palm. Cook it anyway you like. You may also, cook your vegetables in a bone marrow broth and drink it as well as eating the vegetables.
Get organic, free range and lean meat. Limit chicken and turkey to once or twice a week (organic only).

Avoid refined sugar. If you need sweet use organic agave or organic honey (if you do not have allergies) but better without.
Eat gluten free; they are 7 gluten free grains among them: rice (regular white), quinoa, corn (with moderation due to genetic manipulation), millet, buckwheat…
Congee, which is a chinese rice soup, with vegetables and, or meat / fish is excellent

Avoid dairy products especially hard cheese. Yogurt 2x a week is fine (room temp, not straight out of the fridge).

Fish (any kinds) 3 times a week. Rotate between deep sea fish and SMASH (sardines, makril, anchovies, salmon, herring). Limit or avoid sushi.

Avoid soy intake. Switch over to rice or almond milk and use tempeh instead of tofu if you need to eat soy.

Limit starchy vegetables (potatoes, manioc, turnip…) and cruciferous such as: broccoli, cauliflower, bruxelle sprouts, cabbage. The dark leafy vegetables (even if some of them are cruciferous) : collard green, mustard green, kale, broccoli rage, chards are best.
Sweet potatoes, beets, carrots, green beans, peas, squash, zucchini are good.

Eat fruits separately unless they are cooked. No tropical fruit during fall, winter and spring (that includes bananas)
No dry fruits unless they are unsweetened (figues, dates, apricots. etc).

Life Style Recommendations:
